Art Basel Welcomes Collectors ‘Online’

Considered to be the biggest art fair in the world, closely monitorered by the art collectors as one of the most important events, Art Basel announced its second ‘Online Viewing Rooms’ dates as 28-31 October. The OVR: 20c, which will feature 100 exclusive galleries, is dedicated to artworks produced between 1900 and 1999. The VIP monitoring program ends on October 30, 12:00 (CET).

The first “Online Viewing Rooms” program designed by Art Basel as a new digital initiative took place in March this year. This first edition of the program presented as a new opportunity for the works planned to be presented at the Art Basel Hong Kong event, which was canceled due to the pandemic. The second edition will take place on 28-31 October. The digital program, rather than replacing the physical presence of the fair, that is considered to be one of the most important art events in the world, enables the galleries to present additional curatorial exhibitions and enriches the experience of the collections. For Art Basel, one of the leading organizations conducting research on what new technologies can offer for the art world under the influence of circumstances, this is also an exciting way of bringing together galleries and the global audience.
